Programs

Over the years Friends of Wednesday’s Child has developed a series of highly effective, focused projects that address many of the more common needs of our children. We recently streamlined our services to four main program areas:

• Beyond The Classroom

• Memories and Milestones

• Stitched In

• Hope and Healing

PROGRAM GOALS: The goal of each of our four programs is to enhance the life experiences of foster children so that they are better prepared to become confident, independent members of the community. The mission-aligned objectives are listed below:

a. Children will feel more valuable and self-confident

b. Children will feel more “like everyone else”

c. Children will feel a greater sense of gratitude and desire to contribute to the community

d. Children will cooperate more with others, using less verbal and physical violence

e. Children will remain or enroll in school

f. Children will learn or improve skills

g. Children will achieve higher grades
