This program honors, celebrates and thanks our Major Donors. The founding members are individuals, civic groups and corporate partners who have gone above and beyond to support Friends of Wednesday's Child and to make an extraordinary impact in the lives of North Texas' foster children. We could not do what we do without this support — these generous donors are giving abused children opportunities they otherwise would not have.
It might be the chance to excel academically through tutoring or a college scholarship... a winter coat and a pair of shoes to keep them warm or the chance to attend the summer camp of their choice... eye glasses without horn-rimmed frames or a prom dress... a birthday gift to remind a 6-year old girl that her special day is a special occasion... Whatever form the support takes, each opportunity helps a child develop a healthy self-esteem and have a chance at a brighter childhood and a prosperous future outside of the cycle of violence.
